Today I begin a journey of blogging the thoughts given to my by my Father God. The best place to start would be to explain my blog name. It is taken from Isaiah 45:3 " I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name." This verse has become a verse near and dear to my heart. It seems like life is filled with dark times. Times where God seems far away and our circumstances confusing. However, I am learning that those dark times are the times where treasures, jewels of God's design, are placed in my life.
Like James I am learning to say, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." James 1:2-4
My prayer as I begin this journey is that God would grant me the words to speak. That His insights would become a light in the darkness for any who would read these words, just as they guide me on my path.
