And I Pray

September 2009 001I sit here at the dining room table surrounded by two youngest and stacks of school books.  My Bible and my laptop are before me as I re-read Colossians 1.  I have been stuck here for weeks.   So…

Dear Reader,

Today I pray for you as Paul prayed for the church at Colosse.

I thank God for you -

We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all the saints— the faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of truth, the gospel that has come to you.  Colossians 1:3-6

I ask God to fill you -

asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.  Colossians 1:9b

To strengthen you and give you endurance -

being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.  Colossians 1:11-12

I give thanks that he has rescued, redeemed and forgiven us -

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.  Colossians 1:13-14

Those of you who are treasured travelers here at this blog I have called your name before the Father.  I have read your words of faith in Christ.  They have encouraged and inspired me.

Today I am thanking God for you all.  Asking the Father to grow the gospel of Christ in each of you that you may bear fruit bringing glory to the Father.

                                     In Christ,

                                       Mom2Six

Oh, thank you so much for your prayers. I find myself a bit stressed as we march toward our Saturday wedding and your blog came at the right time to speak to my soul.
Thank you for stopping by my blog, too!
Blessings to you

What a blessing to come here this evening, Nancy, after a day of wrestling with this chronic pain and find that you have prayed for me...that you have called my name before Abba. Now, I in turn, dear Blogging Friend, have called yours out to Him. May you rest well this night and find reasons...many of them...to rejoice and sing through your day tomorrow.

I just wanted to stop in and say thank you for stopping by to comment on the pictures!

Hopefully tonight's comment will go through directly to you. :-) If not...we'll just keep trying until it does.
