I rise early and put on a pot of coffee. While I wait, I let the dog out, feed her, and give her water. We walk back up the stairs to our deck. The retriever waits as I retrieve coffee and computer. Settling in a rocker I pull up my Bible reading for the morning. Joshua and the Israelites have been sojourners in the wilderness for 40 years. Now it is time to enter the land they have been promised. The Lord spoke to Joshua, “Just as I was with Moses, so will I be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you. Be strong and courageous…” Joshua 1:5,6a
The Lord gives me the same promise…”Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:5-6 Whatever the day, the week, the future holds I can be strong and courageous. The Lord is my helper and he gives me the confidence to face the unknown. For I am a sojourner here, waiting for the promise of a new heaven and a new earth.
While I wait, Father God, I am thankful that you never leave me! I am grateful for the blessings of this moment in my life. Thank you for…

Great list! I love both of those scriptures. He IS always with us!
I like "Princess Daughter unloading the dishwasher."
There are a lot of small gifts that can bring us joy; we just have to stop and notice.
I really needed to be reminded of this Hebrews scripture. Thank you so much.
