“Don't forget to pray for us, that God will open doors for telling the mystery of Christ, even while I'm locked up in this jail. Pray that every time I open my mouth I'll be able to make Christ plain as day to them. Use your heads as you live and work among outsiders. Don't miss a trick. Make the most of every opportunity. Be gracious in your speech. The goal is to bring out the best in others in a conversation, not put them down, not cut them out.” Colossians 4:3-6

Seems this should be my prayer for the next little while. God opening doors asking me to open my mouth and make the most of every opportunity. Father, help my speech to be full of your grace, encouraging and bringing out the best in others.

Yes, we all need this to be our prayer in the journey has put us on. You did great illustrating this verse.
Precious post, Nancy. I know it would serve me well to also make that Scripture my way of life....especially that my speech would be seasoned with grace....always I need that!
