“House His Spirit: Be Continually Filled”

No sooner does God reveal the name chosen for me for 2011 than He graciously confirms my hearing.   The body where I attend services locally spends the first 21 days of January in focused times of prayer and fasting.  They prepare a prayer journal handout for these days.

fullness prayer guideThe Prayer Point for January 1 - “House His Spirit: Be Continually Filled”.

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?  You are not your own.”  1 Corinthians 6:19

Spirit filled souls are ablaze for God.  They love with a love that glows.  They serve with a faith that kindles.  They serve with a devotion that consumes.  They hate sin with a fierceness that burns.  They rejoice with a joy that radiates.  Love is perfected in the fire of God.”  Samuel Chadwick

Spirit of God – let me be a house consumed with your grace and glory.  May I burn brightly for you alone!

  1. Nancy, what a beautiful confirmation of God's word for you in 2011! Don't you just love it when He opens His grace this way to us?

I just went back and read the link you had in today's post about your word for 2011...consume! I have to agree with Dianne (that dear sweet lady) and say, 'WOW! What a way to step into a new year!" I was so caught up in the reading that I was actually sad when it came to an end. Looking forward to hearing from you about how He orchestrates it in your life this year!

    Thanks for stopping by today.

  2. Hope everything went well at your daughter's doctor's appointment. I'm so glad you have your daughter close by that you can do things like that with she and her hubby. When our daughter was pregnant with her only child, she lived in Mexico City and we lived here in WV!

The year has been reclusive as I have just been seeking the Lord and sharing tidbits. Today I quietly reopen the comments section for a while. Thanks for stopping by, listening, and perhaps sharing a word. In Him, mom2six.treasures
